4 Key Actions for the UN System in the area of Culture and Behaviour

In the area of Culture & Behaviour, the UN 2.0 Action Plan includes four essential actions all UN entities will take for fostering culture change.

Support leadership development
Introduce UN 2.0 modules in all leadership induction programmes and establish dedicated coaching offers focused on culture change and core technical concepts.

Action 6

Set leadership performance targets
Integrate targets for levels P-5 and above in annual performance documents and compacts to incentivize progress against the plan. Extend to all job profiles where relevant.

Foster knowledge networks
Encourage active engagement in system-wide UN 2.0 knowledge communities and reinforce entity-level exchange platforms to fuel grassroots action, including with dedicated resources where possible.

Introduce UN 2.0 awards
Support a UN family-wide awards programme to recognize impactful initiatives, encouraging a culture of innovation, replication and collaboration, with a UN 2.0 Week to foster visibility and momentum.
